TheraVault ("we," "our," or "the app") is a mental health self-help application developed by Dr. Shully Salman. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account Information: When you create a community profile, we collect your email address, username, and display name. This is stored securely in Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database.
Self-Help Tool Data: Data you enter into tools (check-ins, mood entries, journal entries, triggers, etc.) is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Community Posts: Content you voluntarily post on the discussion board (posts, replies, likes) is stored in our Firebase database and visible to other users. Your username is displayed with your posts; your email is never shown publicly.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience. No personally identifiable information is included.
We use your information to: provide and maintain the app and community features; authenticate your account; display your community posts; improve our services; and communicate important updates about the app.
Account and community data is stored using Google Firebase, which provides enterprise-grade security including encryption in transit and at rest. Self-help tool data remains on your device only.
We use the following third-party services:
• Google Firebase — Authentication, database, and hosting
• Google AdMob — Advertising (ads are removed for Premium subscribers)
These services may collect data according to their own privacy policies.
TheraVault is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
You may: request deletion of your account and community data by contacting us; delete your local self-help data at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling; opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
Account data is retained while your account is active. Community posts are retained unless deleted by you or a moderator. You may request complete account deletion at any time.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on this page with an updated effective date.
